National Handwriting Day!
Did you know National Handwriting Day is celebrated on January 23, 2016. This day was chosen because it is John Hancock’s Birthday. He was the first person to provide his signature on the Declaration of Independence. So in celebration get out your pens & pencils and write! I feel so lucky in todays world to get a handwritten note from someone! Handwriting continues to be an important skill to learn. It is important for brain development and supports thinking, memory and language development. It is an opportunity for creativity and personal expression.
If your child struggles with learning to write, please check out Rainbow Tree’s Handwriting Camp starting this Spring! His or her “John Hancock” is an essential life skill!! Click on Spring Handwriting Camp on the home page for more information and register today!
